GUIDE RIGHT PROGRAM

in Partnership with Fair Oaks Recreation Center

 

Please join us in welcoming our new Community Partner! The Men of Alpharetta-Smyrna Alumni (“ASA”) Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. have partnered with us to facilitate their National Guide Right Program for Youth. The Guide Right Program is a mentoring, academic improvement and personal development program for at-risk middle school and high school age males.

The in-depth concepts of Guide Right Program is summarized as   follows:

 

•  To help youth of middle school and high school age with their educational interest compatible with their aptitudes, interests, and personalities.

 

•  Assist students with training that leads to employment experience that strengthens their career options.

 

•  Assist parents by providing their children with positive role models.

 

•  Inform youth of the values of higher education; provide exposure to colleges and assistance in completing applications and landing scholarships.

 

Future “Guide Right Program' a ctivities to be held at the Fair Oaks Recreation Center include tutoring, career planning workshops, reading group discussions, public speakers, campus tours, fishing trips, sporting events and more .

 

They usually meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month so look for future events and come and get involved!!!
