Sport Aviation Complex

Cobb County Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs has a Sports Aviation Complex available for use by remote control enthusiasts. The complex is located in Pitner Road Park located at 2320 Pitner Road in Acworth. The complex sports both paved and grass runways, a separate helicopter flying area, a covered pit work area and spectator areas with bleacher style seating.

For safety reasons, all usage of this facility must be with the oversight of the Cobb County Radio Control Modeler's Club. Beginners will have the opportunity to come out and fly with an instructor. All club members are required to be members of the Academy of Model Aeronautics in order to fly at the facility, as well as observing all of the rules of the field as well as those imposed by the AMA.
