Social Clubs


Serving People With Special Needs

The goal of social clubs is to promote independence by providing leisure opportunities that increase social interaction skills, leisure awareness, activity skills and community awareness. The clubs are designed according to age and functional level of the participant. The TRS staff will assess each participant with input from the parent/guardian for appropriate club placement.

Social clubs are designed for ages 12-15 (new!!!) and 16 & up. Clubs are limited to 8 - 12 participants. Every quarter each club participates in 3 to 5 activities. Fees are charged on a quarterly basis.

Summer Social Club Activity Schedule

SOCIAL CLUBS

(FOR AGES 12-15)

 

Fee:     $35.00

Participant Insurance   $6.00 annually (optional)   
Non-Resident Extra Fee $25.00   (if applicable)   


The Coyote's Social Club    Age: 12-15 ONLY   

This special social club is designed strictly for ages 12-15 ONLY. The club is limited to 8 - 12 participants each. Every quarter the club will participate in 3 to 5 activities. Fees are charged on a quarterly basis. All new participants must be assessed prior to registration. Please call Cara Lynn at 770-819-3215 to schedule an appointment.

6/9/08 Laser Show - We'll go to Stone Mountain to hang out with friends, hear music, watch lasers & fireworks, and have pizza under the stars.

6/17/08 Movie Night - We will see a movie at a local theater. Please eat dinner before you come. Popcorn and soda provided.

6/26/08 Jump Into Summer - We'll go to the Pump It Up facility and play on the giant inflatable games. Eat dinner before you come.

7/24/08 Splash - We'll go to the S. Cobb Aquatic Center to slide and swim through the lazy river. Please eat dinner before you come. Snack provided. CSP 6pm / RSBC 6:30pm ,

8/23/08 Turner Field Braves Tour - Attention Braves fans! We'll tour the stadium and go behind the scenes. Then off to the Varsity for lunch!

Bowling Night

Leave CSP 6pm / RSBC 6:30pm,

Return RSBC 9pm / CSP 9:30pm

Continue with our Social Club bowling league. We will bowl one or two games, then go to Dairy Queen for a late night treat.

 

Laser Show

Leave CSP 6pm / RSBC 6:30pm,

Return RSBC 11:15pm / CSP 11:30pm

Join us for fireworks, lasers, and great music! We will enjoy a pizza party under the stars before the show.

 

Swimming

Leave CSP 6pm / RSBC 6:30pm,

Return RSBC 9:30pm / CSP 10pm

Join your friends for swimming at the South Cobb aquatic center. Slide down the large indoor water slide, or float along the lazy river. Eat dinner before you come.

 

Bocce Challenge

Leave CSP 6pm / RSBC 6:30pm,

Return RSBC: 8:30pm / CSP: 9pm

Compete against your friends in a bocce competition.

 

Yellow River Game Ranch

Leave CSP 9am / RSBC 9:30am,

Return RSBC 2:30pm / CSP 3pm

Get up close with the animals. See everything from bears to mountain lions. After the zoo we will have a picnic lunch.

 

Turner Field Braves Tour

Leave CSP 9am / RSBC 9:30am,

Return RSBC 2pm / CSP 2:30pm

Here's your chance Braves fans! We will tour the stadium and go behind the scenes. You may even be able to sit in the Braves home dugout. We will then have lunch at the Varsity.

 

Atlanta Cyclorama

Leave CSP 9am / RSBC 9:30am,

Return RSBC 2pm / CSP 2:30pm

Join an Atlanta tradition and see one of the county's largest paintings depicting the Battle of Atlanta during the Civil War. Also see the famous locomotive, the Texas . Lunch provided.
